Here's How To Get Started

It doesn't take much to get started on Minimal, but there are a few things you should do:

1. Confirm Your Email

If you signed up with Google, Twitter, or LinkedIn, you're all set and can move onto step 2.

If you signed up with an email address and password, you must confirm your email before you can log in. If you didn't get the confirmation email, you can request a new one.

2. Update your profile

Your profile doubles as your author bio that appears beneath every article that you write. You can update it to help your readers get to know you, what you're interested in, and where else they might be able to find you around the web.

You can also update your name and username on your profile page. When you first sign up, your username defaults to everything before the @ sign in your email address, so you may want to change it.

3. Draft a new article

Once your profile is set up, you can get to writing! Feel free to play around with the editor and get a feel for how writing on Minimal works (and how simple and refreshing it is!).

Don't worry if you accidentally publish your draft before you mean to. You can always unpublish or delete it.

4. (Optional) Explore other articles

Take a look around and see what other articles have been written. Open the menu on the left by tapping on the ☰ icon and have a look around!

5. (Optional) Pick up where you left off with your "Drafts" folder

After you take a look around, you can always come back and find your drafts waiting for you. Use your drafts folder as an idea collector -- there's no harm in having a bunch of half-finished drafts that you can come back to later!
