Sign Up Help

You can sign up on Minimal one of two ways:

  1. Through your favorite existing account on Google, LinkedIn, or Twitter, or
  2. With your email address and a new password.

The benefit of signing up with Google, LinkedIn, or Twitter is that you don't have to remember yet-another-password. It's more convenient too, because it often only takes one click to log back in again later. Twitter, for example, will remember that you already logged in with Minimal when you return, and will let you right back in.

The only thing we get back from Google/LinkedIn/Twitter when you log in is your email, name, and profile picture. We use your email address to automatically set up your account.

Signing up with Google, LinkedIn, or Twitter

To sign up with either Google, LinkedIn, or Twitter, simply click on the appropriate button at the top of the sign up page. You will be taken to their website to enter your password for that site, and then sent back to Minimal once you have signed in there. Their job is to confirm you are who you say you are. Once you do, they send us a message to confirm that you have given us permission to sign you up, and you're all set!

In most cases, it takes just a click or two.

Signing up with an email address

If you don't want to sign in with Google, Twitter, or LinkedIn, you can still sign up the traditional way: email and password.

Since we won't know if the email you give us is real (so we can contact as needed), there is one more step: You'll need to confirm your email address by clicking on the link we send to your email, before you can use Minimal. If you sign in via Google/Twitter/LinkedIn, you get to skip this step.

Didn't get your email confirmation link?

If you didn't receive your email confirmation link:

  1. Check your email spam folder. Sometimes email providers get a little too aggressive with what they consider spam, which is mostly out of our control. If your message ended up there, be sure to mark it as "not spam" so you'll get future messages.
  2. If you still don't see your confirmation email, you can request that we send it again.
  3. If you still didn't get the confirmation link email, please contact us and we'll look into it immediately and help you out.

Subscribing to the Audience Builder plan

When you select the Audience Builder plan, you will be taken to the sign up page. If you already have an account, simply log in instead. Once you either sign up or log in, you'll be taken to Stripe where you can enter your payment information.

After your payment is successful, you'll be brought back to Minimal, and your new subscription will go into effect automatically.

If you ever feel that Minimal is no longer a fit for you, you can cancel your subscription on your (subscription settings)[/subscription] page with a single click (and a quick confirmation, so you don't accidentally cancel if you don't mean to). We won't harass you or chase you around asking "why". We definitely would love to hear about what you were hoping for and didn't get. We love feedback, especially brutally honest feedback.

Yes! You can sign up for a free personal plan and start writing immediately -- no credit card required.

Once you're ready to take it to the next level, you can sign up for our Audience Builder plan, where you get the tools you need to connect more easily with and grow your audience.

If you're happy with your personal plan, there's nothing more you need to do!
